DePaul had more hits, but Hawai'i had the big ones Sunday in the championship game of the Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament. Hawai'i's 4-1 victory behind four extra-base hits snapped DePaul's four-game winning streak, although the Blue Demons came home with a very commendable 4-1 record at the tournament.

Join the women's basketball team on Monday, Mar. 15 for the NCAA Women's Basketball Selection Special for the 2010 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. Doors open at 5 p.m. at McGrath Arena and the party includes food and admission is free. Parking is available for $6 next door to the Sullivan Athletic Center at the 2335 N. Once again, it was DePaul that held the ace in the hole. Becca Heteniak didn't need much support Saturday night as she fired a two-hitter in the Blue Demons' 2-0 victory over Loyola Marymount at the Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament. The fourth win in a row sends DePaul (11-7) into Sunday's 3 p.m. title game against host Hawai'i(17-9).

Powerful Hawai'i came into Saturday's game batting .313 as a team with 48 home runs and 153 RBI. DePaul came into the game with Bree Brown, and all the freshman pitcher from Texas did was strike out 13 in leading the Blue Demons to a 6-2 victory in the Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament.
