Mary Cate Quiett of the DePaul track and field team brought the school record count at the Meyo Invitational to three after breaking her own 800m all-time best, in addition to meeting her first NCAA provisional qualifying performance of the season. She and the rest of the Blue Demon squads also tallied a total of 10 BIG EAST Conference qualifying marks on the second and final day of the nationally renowned meet.

Freshman sprinters Lindsey Holden and Tonderai Tomu of the men's and women's track and field squads became a part of DePaul history this evening at the Meyo Invitational, as they both claimed records in the 300m. In addition, Toni Salvatore became the 18th Blue Demon to earn a spot at the 2010 BIG EAST Conference Championship on Feb. 20-21.

Men's soccer student-athlete Nathan Feltz and track and field's Terah Cheatham were selected as the Institutional 2009-10 BIG EAST Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners for DePaul University. The selections were made by the Conference's Academic Affairs Committee. The league selects one male and one female winner from each institution and is awarded a post-graduate scholarship.
