With that said -- we are all ready to take advantage of the time we have this year both academically and on the court. We start our Fall workouts today and many of us have already been in the gym working hard on our shots and ball skills. We feel like it is now or never, and want to perform our best this season!
Summer was great! After working out at DePaul in June and July, we took two weeks off to go home and see our families. I had the privileged to visit New Jersey/New York to see my cousins. It was great to be on the east coast for more than just a BIG EAST Conference game and get to spend quality time with my Aunt Peggy, Uncle Bob, and their kids. We did fun activities like going to the "Walkway Across the Hudson" just miles from the city. In addition to this, we shopped, swam at the pool, and ate at the famous boathouse in Central Park. I experienced my first natural disaster when the ground shook for the earthquake and made it out of there before I experienced my second, hurricane Irene.
Labor Day with the family was great! While at home, we got a call on Friday that my niece Faye Marian Mulchrone was born, making me an Aunt and my parents, Grandparents! That was a perfecting ending to a perfect summer!
Now, we are back at school getting ready for our last year in the classroom and on the basketball court. We are working hard to make sure this year is a year to remember and we hope to see all our DePaul fans at our first game on November 11 against St. Mary's!
