Golf Blog: Jan Juelicher

Hello Blue Demon Fans,

This is Jan reporting for duty! Its unbelievable that there is a little less than one month until school starts again and just a little longer until we tee off at our first tournament. I can't wait to come back to the Windy City and see everyone again.

So far I kept myself pretty busy. For the last three weeks I have been doing an internship at MAN Diesel, a global company which is located in my home city. MAN is specialized in the production of commercial turbines and motors for big ships. In order to gain some more practical work experience in the field of my major, I am working in the reporting and controlling department.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful over the last couple of weeks and I play golf whenever I can prepare for the upcoming season. We have a great tournament schedule and good chances to play a successful season, especially with the support of the incoming freshmen.

About a month ago, I flew to Rome with my brother. It was my first time in the Eternal City and an incredible experience. In five days we literally walked the entire city and saw the must-see highlights such as the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, St. Peter and the Pantheon but also all the cool and scenic places the city has to offer offside the typical tourist routes.

Next week Saturday, I am going to fly to Fort Myers, Florida, to relax and get ready for the new school year.

See you soon and Go Blue Demons!
