Women's Basketball Blog: Brooke Schulte

Hello everyone, or should I say Bonjour!

As you may or may not know the DePaul Women's basketball team traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to the extraordinary country of France! My teammates and I are extremely excited to travel to a different continent and for some of us; it will be the first trip out of the United States.

In preparation for our trip, we all took a class on St. Vincent de Paul!  I know that I cannot wait to walk in St. Vincent de Paul's footsteps and visit such monumental sites in France. The trip includes a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral, Vincentian Museum, a motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity, the parish church in Folleville, the Eiffel Tower, the Normandy Beaches, and many more important sites! By taking the class, we are able to relate to St. Vincent and the relevance of each site to his life.

While we are in France, we will have the opportunity to play a variety of women's basketball teams in Europe. We are excited to see the talent overseas and play against someone other than our own teammates this summer!

The trip is both work and play, and I am ecstatic that I have the chance to experience this with my teammates.

We have a busy 11 days ahead of us --Let the fun begin!
Au revoir,
Brooke Schulte #22
