Hello everyone, or should I say Bonjour!
As you may or may not know the DePaul Women's basketball
team traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to the extraordinary country of France!
My teammates and I are extremely excited to travel to a different continent and
for some of us; it will be the first trip out of the United States.

Hi DePaul Fans!
Happy New Year Everyone! It has been a while since we have checked in, so I will start with our Las Vegas trip in December! The team was blessed with the opportunity to spend some quality time in Las Vegas and play at the Duel in the Desert tournament. It was my first time traveling with the team since my transfer in 2011 and I was very excited to travel with them.

Hey DePaul Fans,
It's Brittany Hrynko again! And with the season creeping up on us I think all of us on the team are very excited! While practices are going great and we are continuing to get better, Jasmine Penny and I got a chance to go represent our team in New York for BIG EAST Media Day.

Hey there, Blue Demon Fans!
This is Kelsey Smith, and I'm
excited to be reporting to all of you for the first time! Although it
hasn't been that long since Jasmine's last blog post, there is quite a
bit to fill you in on - so get ready!

Hey Blue Demon fans!
This is Jasmine Penny, writing to you for the first time this year. It is my senior year and season is fast approaching! I know my roommate Kelsey Reynolds has been entertaining everyone with her blogs and believe me, she loves to tell me about it. She is a tough act to follow, but I am up for the challenge. Although, Kelsey doesn't talk much, she can write for days!

So we meet again, Blue Demon fans...
This is Kelsey Reynolds writing to you from the comfort of my own dorm room. After a 20-day stint at home, the team is back on campus and ready for the start of the quarter. I absolutely love being home, but by the end of break, my parents were busy working and my sisters were back at school. That left me home alone, bored, and talking to my dog. Needless to say, I am glad I am back at school and socializing with my teammates instead of a yellow lab.

Hello again my Blue Demon fans!
This is Megan Rogowski reporting to our fans for another update! The squad and summer school are hitting the gas full throttle! Almost three full weeks of summer school and workouts have already flown by. The freshmen are taking two classes while the rest of the returners are taking just one class. I am lucky enough to have class with my teammates, Chanise Jenkins, Megan Podkowa and Brooke Schulte! Having class with my teammates makes summer school a lot more manageable. Midterm week is here so we are all studying hard this week!
This is Kelsey Reynolds reporting for duty. It is hard to believe that it is almost August, but that just means we are one month closer to the start of season! If Coach Bruno were counting (and by were, I mean IS) he would tell you we are 14 weeks away from our first game of the year! If that is not exciting, I don't know what is.
It's Brittany Hrynko again and with summer school not starting until July 22, I have been at home in Philadelphia enjoying time with friends and family. I am especially enjoying my time with the newest addition to our family, my nephew Haiden!

Hey Blue Demon fans!
It's Megan Rogowski again and I am excited to fill you in on what I have been up to the past month. With classes over and summer school not scheduled to begin until July 22, my teammates and I have had the chance to spend some time at home with our friends and families.

What's up Blue Demons fans! It's me, Chanise Jenkins, also known as "Trixy" to my teammates and coaches. Even though the women's basketball season ended a couple months ago, being a student-athlete is a yearly duty. I am currently enrolled into summer school, and I work out religiously to prepare for next season. This past weekend was one to remember, and I am proud to say "I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!"

Hello to everyone who loves the Blue Demons! This is Brittany Hrynko, also known by my teammates or most of DePaul's athletics as "Britt" or "B". Although we have been done with basketball for some months now, I still wanted to keep you up to date with what is going on with the team! Because the basketball season has come to an end, doesn't mean our lives as student-athletes have stopped.
Hey Blue Demon fans, this is Megan Rogowski, also known by my teammates and coaches as "Rogo." Even though our season ended a couple of months ago, that does not mean you will be out of the loop from your favorite women's basketball team! Check out my monthly blog to see what my teammates and I have been up to!

DePaul sponsored a basketball fundamentals clinic for 50 elementary school aged children on May 12th at McGrath-Phillips Arena located on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus. All participants received three hours of instruction and game experience from the DePaul men's and women's basketball coaching staffs and current student-athletes.
The clinic included fundamental skill instruction and basic game principles for both offense and defense. Participants received a DePaul T-shirt and lunch and will receive tickets to a men's and women's basketball game during the 2012-13 season.
Lisa Ryckbosch ran the clinic with Kevin Edwards, Ciara Johnson, and Dave Corzine. Women's team members Brittany Hrynko, Chanise Jenkins, Kelsey Smith, Anna Martin and Megan Rogowski and men's team members Worrel Clahar, Donnavan Kirk, Derrell Robertson, Jr. and Montray Clemons helped out at the clinic.
It's been quite a while since I've written and we have a lot to catch up on! As you all know, our season ended in the second round of the NCAA tournament with a loss to Tennessee. Losses are always hard and they are especially hard when it's the end of the season and you are losing a great group of seniors. Even though three of our seniors couldn't play this year due to injury, they were still a fantastic group that I'm so happy to have gotten to know. I'm going to miss them for sure!
DePaul student-athletes joined the University community
earlier this month for the annual Vincentian Service Day. The annual event sent
nearly 1,800 members from the DePaul family into Chicago for numerous service
projects on Saturday, May 5.
The men's soccer team joined Kai Omega sorority at Gage Park
to spruce up the park with truckloads of mulch. Member of the men's cross
country and track and field program collected donations for Alzheimer's
research while the men's and women's tennis teams volunteered at the Blessed Sacrament
The women's basketball team went to the Northwest Side
Housing Center with a group of about 20 people from DePaul to help clean up a
neighborhood. Among the many duties were cleaning up the garbage, raking
leaves, mowing the lawn, cutting shrubs and picking weeds.

For the past seven years, Inside Higher Ed has conducted its annual Academic Performance Tournament, in which we determine who would prevail in the National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball frenzy that is March Madness if academics were the deciding factor. This year, the DePaul women won its bracket!

Wow wow wow, where do I even begin!? First, let me apologize for neglecting this blog for so long! I know it's been since December that I've last updated you guys and there has been a lot going on in Lincoln Park!

I know this entry is a little late, but I wanted to share with our fans my trip to New York City for my first BIG EAST Conference Women's
Basketball Media Day this past year with Keisha Hampton. It was a trip that I
will never forget.

Hello DePaul Fans! Wednesday was my last, first day of school! I cannot believe how time flies. It seems like it was just yesterday that I walked into my first class at DePaul. Deanna, Keisha, Taylor, and I cannot believe that this time next year will we will be in the real world.

Hello Women's Basketball fans! I'm writing to you from my home in Columbia, MO. We just got finished up with the second session of summer school and are fortunate enough to have a two-week break before heading back to school after Labor Day!

Former Blue Demon standout Allie Quigley has signed a seven-day contract with the WNBA's Seattle Storm.Since her graduation in 2008, Quigley has made roster stops on the Indiana Fever (2010), San Antonio (2010) and Phoenix Mercury, (2008-09).In 2008, Quigley was the 22nd overall pick by the Seattle Storm.
This is Keisha Hampton checking in from Colorado Springs. This is my last day here in Colorado participating in the USA World University Game Trials! This has been a great experience for me the second time around. The USA Trials has provided me with the opportunity to develop myself as a basketball player, meet new people, and play against the best collegiate players in the Nation. Even though I am here trying to make a new team, I miss my DePaul team and know they are back in Chicago finishing up our last week of Spring workouts.

DePaul has done it again!!!! In six months time our University has allowed our Women's Basketball Team to put together a trip to France that has included: a great tour of the life and works of St. Vincent DePaul and St. Louise De Marillac
