CHICAGO - DePaul athletics director Jean Lenti Ponsetto was recently honored with an induction into the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference (GCAC) Hall of Fame on March 20. Ponsetto was the keynote speaker at the induction ceremony and was recognized as a friend of the GCAC.
Ponsetto was a student and competed in athletics at Seton Academy. The GCAC was founded in 1974 and its current membership includes 20 schools in Chicago.
She was joined in the induction class by: Mary Cain-Schapendonk (Maria HS), Chavonda Darby (Academy of Our Lady), Laura Fanning (Mother Guerin), Lindsey Mangawan (St. Benedict), Sarah Mikrut-Doyle (Carmel HS), Jim Russo (Regina Dominican), Yael Van Hurst (Regina Dominican), Jeanne Wohlber O'Brien (St. Ignatius) and the Mother McAuley Volleyball team from 1983, 1984 and 1985.
