CHICAGO - The NCAA released the latest Academic Progress Rate report with four DePaul programs posting multi-year rates of 1000. Men's basketball, women's basketball, golf and women's tennis each recorded perfect rates while all 15 programs at DePaul surpassed the NCAA cutoff rate of 925.

Men's basketball is the only BIG EAST program and just one of six in the country with an APR of 1000. The Blue Demons are joined on the short list by Butler, Holy Cross, Columbia, Kansas and Texas. The women's basketball team is one of two BIG EAST schools with APRs of 1000 and is among a group of 14 schools nationally with the highest possible rate.

Every Division I sports team calculates its APR each academic year, based on the eligibility and retention of each scholarship student-athlete. Teams scoring below 925 can face penalties, such as scholarship losses and restrictions on practice and competition. The most recent APR scores are multi-year rates based on the scores from the 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 academic years.

Last week, six DePaul programs were recognized by the NCAA with the Public Recognition Award for posting multi-year APRs in the top 10 percent of each sport.

An impressive 12 of 15 Blue Demon programs are ahead of the multi-year national average of 970 and include men's basketball (1000), women's basketball (1000), golf (1000), women's tennis (1000), softball (997), men's soccer (993), women's soccer (990), women's cross country (986), women's outdoor track and field (977), women's indoor track and field (977), volleyball (976) and men's outdoor track and field (975).
