Wish Field Hosts Trinidad and Tobago

CHICAGO DePaul’s Wish Field added a little international flavor on Tuesday morning as the Trinidad and Tobago National Team prepped for its match against the United States. The Soca Warriors take on the U.S. National Team in the CONCACAF semifinal round of World Cup 2010 qualifying at Toyota Park on Wednesday night.

Among the players on the Wish Field turf was three-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year Julius James. James, who starred at Connecticut, was drafted in the first round of the MLD Draft by Toronto FC and is a native of Maloney Gardens, Trinidad. His last visit to Wish Field was a memorable one for the Blue Demons as DePaul knocked off then-No. 2 Connecticut, 1-0, on Sept. 23, 2007.

Wednesday’s game between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago can be seen on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.
