Final Stop on Coaches' Caravan is Friday Night

Register Online for the Coaches' Caravan CHICAGO – The fifth and final stop of the 2010 Coaches’ Caravan is scheduled for Friday night in Lincolnshire at the Cubby Bear. Men’s basketball coach Oliver Purnell welcomes fans and supporters from the area to join him at 7 p.m. to talk DePaul hoops. A food and non-alcoholic drink special is available for just $10 and fans are encouraged to sign up early as capacity crowds have greeted Purnell in Lombard, Chicago’s River North neighborhood, Arlington Heights and Merrionette Park. Friday night’s event in Lincolnshire is the final gathering on the five-stop preseason tour around Chicagoland. Women’s basketball head coach Doug Bruno is unable to attend Friday’s event while serving as an assistant coach with the U.S. Women’s National Team at the FIBA World Championships currently going on in the Czech Republic. Associate head coach Nicci Hays-Fort and the women's basketball staff will be on hand to discuss the women's basketball program as the Blue Demons look forward to another successful season. |
