Blue Madness Opens Basketball Season on Friday

CHICAGO - The lights are coming down at McGrath Arena as DePaul celebrates the beginning of the 2009-10 men's and women's basketball season with Blue Madness, presented by TCF Bank. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the entertainment begins at 8 p.m. with a "Release of the Demon" and a "Tribute to Michael Jackson" -- performances that includes the men's and women's basketball teams. Student-athletes will also partner with DePaul students in the Three-Point Shot, Slam Dunk and Obstacle Course Skills contests.

One lucky DePaul student will have the chance to "Beat The Clock" for $10,000 in tuition. Students must register in advance for "Beat The Clock" at the TCF Bank locations on campus in the Lincoln Park Student Center and Loop DePaul Center.

Admission is free and all fans will receive a t-shirt. DePaul students can reserve a seat in advance by visiting the Student Tickets page and score points for Blue Demon Rewards.
