John Wagle was hired in August of 2013 to be the Assistant Director of Sports Performance.
Wagle's duties include designing and implementing sport-specific protocols for softball, women's soccer, men's track, women's track and men's tennis.
Wagle comes to DePaul after serving as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Western Illinois University for the past year. While working for the Leathernecks, he assisted in all sport-specific training protocols.
Before becoming a Sports Performance intern for the Blue Demons in 2012, Wagle served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Dominican University in River Forest, Ill. He also was an assistant coach for the baseball team.
Wagle was a minor league baseball player directly out of college. He made appearances for the San Angelo Colts, Rockford Riverhawks, Joliet Slammers and Fargo-Moorhead Red Hawks.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Arts in Physics and Business Management from Augustana College and earned a Master's of Science degree from Western Illinois, Master's of Nonprofit Administration degree from North Park University and a Master's of Business Administration degree from Loyola Chicago.
Wagle is a resident of Chicago.
