Lemone Lampley

Position:
Assistant Director for Athletic Development

Former DePaul basketball standout Lemone Lampley was named the Assistant Director for Athletic Development in September of 2005.

A Chicago native and Chicago Vocational High School graduate who played for DePaul from 1982-86, Lampley concluded his college career as the fourth-best shot blocker in school history and is still ranked ninth on the all-time rejections list with 87. His six blocks against UT-Pan American in 1984 is still tied for the fourth-best single-game performance in school history.

Chosen in the second round of the 1986 NBA Draft by Seattle, Lampley played professionally from 1986-94 spending five years in Italy, three in Spain and one in Greece.

After finishing his playing career, Lampley worked for Excel Communications in Dallas for four years as an Independent Sales Representative.

He then returned to the Chicago area in 1998 to work for Frontcourt Ltd., a real estate management company in suburban Frankfort. Lampley stayed in that position until 2002 when he joined Anchor Mortgage in Chicago as a consultant, where he remained until joining the Blue Demons.

Lampley is a 1988 graduate of DePaul with a B.A. degree in Business Communications.
