Madison Wis.-DePaul men's and women's track and field team competed at the Badger Track Classic on Saturday in Madison, Wis. Eastern Illinois, Marquette, Milwaukee, Northern Illinois and the host school Wisconsin all joined the Blue Demons.
For the second year in a row, Toni Salvatore represented DePaul in the 1,000m at the Badger Track Classic, and for the second year in a row, Salvatore finished in first with a time of 2:59.87. Courtney Avvampato and Kelly Pickering also represented the Blue Demons in the 1,000m and finished in eighth and eleventh.
Tim Nedow continued to perform well in the shot put and walked away with his third straight victory with a distance of 17.93m. Ryan Asta also represented the Blue Demons in the shot put and placed third.
Kelcie Daniels won the 600m run with a time of 1:36.99. Alexandra Muller also competed in the 600m and finished in sixth.
Next Saturday, DePaul travels back to South Bend, Ind. for the Notre Dame Invitational. A week later on Jan. 29, the Blue Demons travel to Champaign, Ill for the Division I Illinois Intercollegiate.
