BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The DePaul track and field teams completed in day one of the Indiana Relays on Friday. While competing primarily in preliminary competitions, the Blue Demons held their own on the first day of events.

Freshman Ayesha Ewing placed fourth in her 60 meter dash prelim with a time of 7.90 seconds. Ewing placed the highest among the Blue Demons on the day. The freshman also placed seventh in the women’s 200 meter with a time of 25.16 seconds.

Fellow freshman Ashley Holden also competed on Friday and measured at 5.23 meters in the women’s long jump event. Adam Kovacs finished in ninth in the men’s weight throw with a toss of 13.62 meters.

In the same event, Anthony Babicz finished 13th with a weight throw of 12.45 meters. Also on the day, Joe Boesso finished in the top 10 in the men’s high jump with a height on 1.93 meters.

The Blue Demons return to action tomorrow during day two of the Indiana Relays.
