Day One of ISU Classic

AMES, Iowa- The DePaul men's and women's track and field team competed in day one of the ISU Classic this Friday. During competition on Friday, two DePaul student-athletes set new career-best times. Melissa Fraser was the first Blue Demon to compete on Friday. Fraser came in third in the weight throw with a new career-best throw of 17.31m. For the first time this season, Stephanie Hughes ran in the 5,000m and came in 10th with a time of 18:01.78. Also competing, on the women's side was Lindsey Holden, she represented DePaul in the 200m Dash. Zak Koronkiewicz was the last Blue Demon to run on Friday. Koronkiewicz ran a career-best time of 9:01.33 in the 3,000m. Chris Kyles also competed on the men's side, he ran a time of 22.36 in the 200m Dash.
The Blue Demons return to competition tomorrow when Kelly Pickering will participate in the mile run at 9 a.m.
