Petersen and Key Lead Women's Track and Field
Complete Results CHICAGO – The DePaul women’s track and field team finished third at the Chicago Pentangular on Saturday. Marissa Petersen won the 400-meter dash while Marlene Key placed first in the mile. Petersen won the 400 in a time of 1:00.50, just ahead of UIC’s Rowsha LaBranche at 1:02.27. Key also outdistanced three UIC runners to win the mile in a time of 5:22.99. The trio of Jamie Holifield, Jeana LeRoy and Laurel Mazar led the field events for the Blue Demons. LeRoy was second in the shot put followed by Holifield in third and Mazar in fourth place. In the weight throw, it was Holifield placing second followed by Mazar and LeRoy. The relay team of Erica Scott, Allyson Petersen, Courtney Grand Pr and Marissa Petersen won the 4x400-meter relay. DePaul finished in winning time of 4:12.22 ahead of UIC’s finish in 4:16.62. DePaul continues the indoor season next Saturday at the Carthage College Invitational in Kenosha, Wis. Chicago Pentangular Team Standings
