Track & Field to Compete in Kenosha
CHICAGO- The DePaul track and field teams travel to
Competition begins at 11 a.m. with men’s and women’s high jump and women’s weight throw. Seniors Kaylah Burks and Webster Jones represent the Blue Demons in the high jump and look to continue the success they had at last week’s Chicago Opener where they captured their respective titles.
DePaul women Jamie Holifield, Erika Lockhart and Laurel Mazar are slotted for the throwing duties and also hope to build on their performance at the Chicago Opener, where they dominated the weight throw and shot put.
Senior Lindsey Deason will kick off the track events in the 55m hurdle preliminaries, coming off the personal best mark of 9.18 she recorded last week. Freshman Patrick Smith is scheduled to represent DePaul in the 55m hurdles.
The Blue Demons will also compete in the men’s and women’s mile run, the women’s shot put, the men’s and women’s 400m, the men’s 800m, the men’s and women’s 200m, the men’s and women’s 3,000m, and the 4x400m relays.
UW-Milwaukee and Loyola-Chicago are among the field of competitors.
