Track and Field Travels to Notre Dame
CHICAGO- The DePaul track and field teams will face challenging Division I competition as they travel to
Several Blue Demons enter the meet unbeaten after two intercollegiate meets this season. Senior Webster Jones and senior Kaylah Burks claimed first place in men’s and women’s high jump, and junior Jamie Holifield has yet to lose in the women’s weight throw.
In addition, several DePaul Athletes enter the Opener after winning their events at last week’s Division I Invitational. Kyra Coffey looks to defend the title she earned last week in the women’s 400m, as does Carrie Moffett in the 3,000m and the women’s 4x400m relay team of Mary Hodges, Coffey, Allyson Petersen, and LaShunta Sanders.
Defending those titles will be no easy task for the Blue Demons, as they will likely face some of their stiffest competition so far. The field includes Notre Dame,
DePaul will also compete in the men’s and women’s long jump, the men’s 60m, the men’s and women’s 500m, the men’s mile, the men’s 400m, the men’s and women’s 60m hurdles, the men’s 800m, the men’s and women’s 200m, the men’s 3,000m and the men’s 4x400m relay.
