Track And Field Set For Wisconsin Quad Saturday

CHICAGO -- The DePaul track and field teams travel to Madison, Wis., on Saturday for the Wisconsin Elite Invitational, the Blue Demons' fourth meet of the 2013-14 season.
The invitational will feature the Blue Demons, host Wisconsin, Indiana State, Marquette and Northern Illinois.
DePaul is coming off a pair of top-five team finishes at the Mike Lints Alumni Open last weekend in Allendale, Mich. The men and women combined for six individual victories, including Matt Babicz's third-straight win in the shot put competition. In addition, Jackie Kasal won the 800 at the Mike Lints, MaShayla Kirksy won her first collegiate event in the long jump, Mac Melto took the 400 and Chris Miedema won the one-mile run.
Tayler Whittler broke the DePaul school-record for the second time this year in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.61.
Field events will begin Saturday at 12 p.m. while the track events kick off with the women's 5,000 at 12:40 p.m.
