KENT, Ohio - DePaul's men's track and field team struggled to carry on the success they earned at last week's indoor meet.  After a second place finish at the Carthage College Invite, the Blue Demons fell, taking seventh place (30 points) at the Central Collegiate Championship.

In first place was Eastern Michigan with a point total of 177.  Taking second, with 129.50 points, was Western Michigan.

DePaul's distance medley managed to take second place with a time of 10:11.76, the fastest time at DePaul under Coach Gordon Thompson's 4-year reign. Running the medley was Ben Cooke, Salvador Andrade, Kai Murray, and Gavin Kennedy.  Luis Samayoa ran 8:34.49 in the 3000-meter run that earned him third place.
