DePaul Heads to Notre Dame for Meyo Invitational

CHICAGO - The DePaul men's and women's track and field teams head out to Notre Dame, Ind., on Friday to begin the two-day Meyo Invitational hosted by the Fighting Irish. The competition is scheduled to start on Friday at 4 p.m. and continue on Saturday at 9 a.m. where the Blue Demons compete against over 40 other squads.
On Friday, freshmen open up the day for DePaul. Freshman Ashley Holden kicks off the competition for the Blue Demons in the women's long jump event at 5 p.m. before Ayesha Ewing takes on the women's 60 meter dash. Jazmyn Durrah and Adam Kovacs follow with the women's and men's weight throw competitions.
At Friday's end, Max Clink, Ben Hiromura, and Lucas Junk partake in the men's 1,000 meter run while Rebecca Adamcheck and Kelcie Daniels take on the women's 500 meter and Chris Miedema competes in the men's 500 meter.
On Saturday, DePaul heads back to the Loftus Sports Center for a full day of events. The Blue Demons will be represented in the shot put, the mile run, the 200 and 400 meter dashes, and the 800 meter run. In the afternoon invitational runs, Matthew Graham will compete in the men's 3000 meter run before the Blue Demons return home to Lincoln Park.
