Men's Track Posts Two No. 1 Times
INDIANAPOLIS - The men's track and field team traveled to Indianapolis on Saturday, competing in the Smith Barney Invitational. Although there were no team scores given, the Blue Demons fared well among their competitors. Larry Inanga posted the fastest time in the men's 400-meter dash with a mark of 48.46. In the men's 1 mile run, Luis Samayoa led the pack, finishing at 4:16.77 and earning him the rights to first place. Gavin Kennedy wasn't too far behind, posting a time of 4:21.22 and taking third place. Siddiqu Muhammad and Jamal Cornelious both finished the 200- meter dash in 22.62 earning them fourth place. Muhammad's finish marked a season-high for the junior. The team continues their indoor season next weekend when they participate in the Lewis Friday Night Series and the Iowa State Classic.
