Track and Field to Continue Season at Iowa State Classic, Lewis Invitational
CHICAGO– The DePaul men’s and women’s track and field spend this weekend at the Iowa State Classic and the Lewis Dick Pond Invitational. The Blue Demons compete Friday and Saturday at

Senior Jamie Holifield and junior Tammy Burris open Friday’s events in the women’s weight throw. Holifield boasts seven throws better than the BIG EAST qualifying standard of 15.25m, while Burris has eclipsed the mark in six meets this season.
Friday afternoon concludes with freshman Joe Strawder in the long jump, freshman Brad Millar in the shot put, and senior Donnie Smith in the 200m dash. Strawder bested the BIG EAST long jump standard of 6.55m three times this season, and Millar surpassed the weight throw qualifying mark of 14.97m in seven competitions.
Freshman Terah Cheatham opens Saturday morning at
Saturday morning continues with Burris and Holifield in the women’s shot put, where both throwers have exceeded the qualifying standard of 12.50m multiple times this season.
Saturday’s meet at Lewis places the Blue Demons in the weight throw, shot put and 55m dash. Freshmen Curtis Hoag and Ian Ianakov represent DePaul in both men’s throwing events, while senior Sara Polensky joins freshmen Ebonie Cobb and Virginia MacFabe in both women’s throwing events. DePaul enters senior Mary Hodges and freshman Ivy Moffett in the women’s 55m dash. The men’s 55m dash features freshmen Mike Bogart and Jason Goldman.
