Blue Demons End Their Indoor Season With Numerous Personal Bests

HOUSTON - At the Yeoman Fieldhouse in Houston, the Blue Demons finished their indoor season at the Conference USA Indoor Championships on Saturday.  Several of DePaul's runners and throwers took home personal bests. 

Donnie Warner had a strong day two at the championships.  In the 3000-meter run, Warner took fifth place overall and set a personal best when he finished at the front of the pack in 8:36.10.  He set a personal best in the 5000-meter run on Friday also earning fifth place. 

Right behind Warner in the 3000-meter run was Luis Samayoa who took seventh place overall with a time of 8:40.42

Gavin Kennedy captured a seventh place finish in the mile and a personal best when he finished at 4:21.96. 

The sprinters fared just as well as the distance runners at the championships.  Larry Inanga placed second in his section of the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.69.  Ben Cooke finished fifth overall in the 800-meter dash when he flew through the finish at 1:56.44.

Setting a personal best throwing record was Jarrod Jahnke after he hurled the shot put 15.11 meters, earning him a sixth place finish.

This weekend marked the last indoor meet of the season for DePaul.
