DePaul Off To A Good Start
HOUSTON - The DePaul women's track and field team completed day one of the Conference USA Indoor Championships on Friday. After scoring six events the Blue Demons stand in ninth place overall with six points and look ahead to day two. Diana Runnels will move on to the finals of the 400-meter dash after scoring a time of 57.39 in the preliminaries. Leah Rygh will also advance after qualifying for the 800-meter run finals with a time of 2:18.69. Sue Stoffel finished fifth in the weight throw after hurling it a distance of 50'11" (15.52m). Marlene Key finished 11th in the finals of the 5000-meter run, clocking in at 18:05.16. Saturday will continue the competition and will conclude the championships. For complete results, click here.
