Moffett and Key Finish the Indoor Season at Alex Wilson Invitational

DePaul long distance runners fall short in NCAA Qualifier hosted by Notre Dame.

CHICAGO – The Blue Demons saw valiant efforts out of both Erin Moffett and Marlene Key as the two runners participated in their final meet of the indoor season. The only DePaul women to compete in the Alex Wilson Invitational, Moffett and Key headed to South Bend, Ind., in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Indoor Championship in the 3000 meter run.

Neither runner qualified for the NCAAs, but finished in stride as Moffett grabbed a 16^th place spot in 10:02.84. Key followed behind her teammate in 17^th place, crossing the line in 10:10.75.

The Blue Demons get set to begin the outdoor track and field season on March 25-26, at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C.
