Track and Field Teams Open Outdoor Season at adidas Raleigh Relays

CHICAGO – The DePaul University track and field teams begin the outdoor portion of the schedule at North Carolina State University in the adidas Raleigh Relays.  Thirteen student-athletes from the men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to compete in the two-day event to kickoff the outdoor season.

Dee Moore opens the action for the Blue Demons in the women’s 100-meter dash.  She will be followed by Larry Inanga in the men’s 400-meter dash and Diana Runnels in the women’s 400-meter event.  Siddiqu Muhammad will compete in the men’s 400-meter hurdles to close the afternoon’s events.

Friday’s evening session sees the Blue Demons in the spring medley relay, 5,000-meter run and 10,000-meter run.  Moore, Marissa Petersen, Runnels and Leah Rygh will run the relay for DePaul while Carrie Moffett, Rick Britton and Gavin Kennedy compete in their respective 5,000-meter events.  Donnie Warner finishes Friday’s action in the men’s 10,000-meter run.

On Saturday, Jarrod Jahnke opens the day in the men’s hammer throw.  Richard Byrne runs in the men’s 1,500-meter run and Leah Rygh goes in the women’s 1,500-meter event.  Moffett finishes the action on Saturday with the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase.
