Three Qualify for NCAA Mid-East Regional



The DePaul University track and field team returned from the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University, March 26th and 27th.  The team returns to Chicago with three NCAA Mid-East Region qualifiers in Larry Inanga, Jarrod Jahnke and Erin Moffett.

 

Inanga took fourth place and qualified for the regional on Friday in the men’s 400-meter dash, clocking a time of 47.23.  

 

Indoor Conference USA champion Jarrod Jahnke qualified with a personal best 56.25 meters (184'6") in the hammer throw.  Jahnke finished seventh overall in the event.

 

Erin Moffet shattered the NCAA regional qualifying time of 10:57.18 on Saturday, clocking a personal and DePaul best 10:31.92 in the steeplechase.  Moffett placed second overall in the event.

 

The sprint medley relay team of Dee Moore, Marissa Petersen, Diana Runnels and Leah Rygh took five seconds off DePaul's school record set last season (4:05.08) on Friday, crossing the finish line in 4:00.07.  The team finished seventh in the event.
