Track and Field Opens Outdoor Season
CHICAGO – The DePaul outdoor track and field team begin the season at the Chicagoland Championships this weekend. The meet, featuring 17 schools from the Chicago area, takes place at North Central College in Naperville.
The three-day event opens with the decathalon and heptathalon on Thurday. DePaul athletes join the action on Friday with the hammer throw and shot put competitions followed by the long jump and 10,000-meter run.
On Saturday, a majority of the DePaul track and field teams will be competing beginning with the women’s javelin and ending with 4x400-meter relay.
