Men's Track & Field in Last Regular Season Meet
The competition begins at
DePaul will send Dave Boduch, Rashard Deleston, Mark Kliethermes, Brian Moy, Jeff Perkins, and Donnie Smith as participants on the men’s side.
In the field, Boduch will take on the javelin throw, while Deleston hopes to continue his success in the long jump after a season best leap last weekend.
Kliethermes doubles up in the races, competing in both the 100 and the 200 meter dashes. Moy and Smith will also join Kliethermes in the 200 meter dash. Perkins rounds off the running in the 400 meter dash.
Coming off of a three meet split last weekend, the Blue Demons look to follow up with the same success. Student-athletes competed in the 111th Penn Relays, the 96th Drake Relays, and the Redbird Invitational.
At the Penn Relays, Anthony Becknek gave an outstanding performance in the 3,000 meter steeplechase by setting a personal and season best. His time of 9:12.31 notched the third place spot and was only 14 seconds off the 21-year old school record.
Gavin Kennedy highlighted the Drake Relays, coming in fourth place in the 1500 meter run. Kennedy crossed the line in 3:50.07, finishing only tenths of a second short of his personal best and less than one second shy of the school record.
Rashard Deleston shined at the Redbird Invitational, winning the long jump and coming in fourth in the triple jump. Deleston posted a season best in the long jump with a launch of 6.99 meter, and covered a distance of 14.33 meters for a season and personal best in the triple jump.
