Frank Guzman Named C-USA Athlete of the Week
CHICAGO - After winning the shot put competition at the Marquette Invitational and Wisconsin Twilight last weekend, Frank Guzman was named Conference USA's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. Guzman once again broke his own school record with a toss of 62'2.25" at the Marquette Invitational on Friday. At the Wisconsin Twilight, Guzman won the event with a throw of 60'3.75". This weekend, the Blue Demons travel to Louisville for the 2002 Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The championships will run May 9-11 in Louisville. A year ago, Cincinnati captured the men's title, while Tulane won the women's crown. For more information on the Conference USA Championships, click here.
