Babicz, Graham, Nedow Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

The all-academic team is composed of 431 student-athletes representing 148 institutions.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 and have finished the indoor regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
For the outdoor season, student-athletes must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
Babicz competed in the 2012 Division I NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Des Moines, Iowa in the shot put. The Blue Demon thrower also won shot put at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Graham competed in the 2012 NCAA West Preliminaries in Austin, Texas during the outdoor track season. During the cross country season, he became the first Blue Demon to be named to the All-BIG EAST Conference Cross Country Team after finishing fourth in the 2011 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships.
The native of Glasgow, Scotland capped off his senior season as a 2011-12 American Eagle Outfitters Institutional Scholar-Athlete Scholarship winner.
Nedow accompanied Graham to the NCAA West Preliminaries competing in the shot put and competed in that same event at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Nampa, Idaho.
He was named the BIG EAST’s Men’s Most Outstanding Field Performer for indoor and outdoor track after winning the indoor conference meet in the shot put and the outdoor conference meet in the discus.
Nedow was selected to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America Third Team and was also Capital One Academic All-District. He was also presented with the 2011-12 BIG EAST Conference Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award.
