2011-12 (Senior)
Cross Country: Scored in two events, including the NCAA Midwest Regional in DeKalb, Ill...finished 22nd at the UIC Home Opener.

Indoor: Competed at two events...finished 20th in 3,000m run at he Badger Track Classic.

Outdoor: Finished in the top 10 in two of his three 5,000m races...finished eighth at the DePaul Invitational and sixth at the Purdue Open.

2010-11 (Junior)
Cross Country: Ran in five races on the season...earned points in the Bradley Classic, lowering his career-best time in the 8K to 25:58...also earned points in the BIG EAST Championships and the NCAA Regionals, clocking times of 27:59.5 (8K) and 33:23.04 (10K), respectively.

Indoor: Competed in the 3000m run and the 5000m run this season...in the 3000m, finished in fifth at the Notre Dame Invitational with a time of 9:06.67 and in 10th at the Badger Track Classic with a 9:06.97 time...in the 5000m run, placed fourth at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships (15:46.75) and 25th at the Iowa State Classic (15:35.16).

Outdoor: Finished with a career best 5000m Run with a sixth-place time of 15:27.52 in the ISU Duals...placed eighth at the Raleigh Relays in the 5000m with a time of 15:39.51...took home 11th at the DePaul Invite in the same race with a 16:06.65 finish.

2009-10 (Sophomore)
Cross Country: Competed in all seven races... clocked a career-best 8K at the Bradley Open with a time of 26:24... lowered his person-best 10K time to 34:25 at the NCAA Midwest Regional... placed 27th at the Lucian Rosa Invitation.

Indoor: Placed second in the 5,000m at the Chicago Duals behind a career-best time of 15:29.75... set a personal record in the 3,000m at the Blue and Gold Meet with a 3,000m time of 9:06.05... recorded a career-best mile time of 4:41.85 at the Purdue Invitational.

Outdoor: Won the 5,000m at the Chicago Penultimate in a career-best time of 15:28.92... ran the 10,000m at the Chicagoland Championships in a time of 32:53.30... finished the 3,000m in a time of 9:03.88 at the DePaul Relays... recorded a 5,000m time of 15:36.23 at the Mike Poehlein Invitational.

2008-09 (Freshman)
Cross Country: Ran in six of the seven races... season-best 8K time was 27:26 at the Bradley Classic... was DePaul's top finisher at the Ted Hedstrand Invitational with an 8K time of 28:10... posted a 10K time of 34:53 at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Indoor: Ran a season-best 3,000m at the Bob Eubanks Open with a time of 9:29.24... ran a leg of the distance medley at the Chicago Duals to help record a time of 11:16.75.

Outdoor: Ran a team-best 10,000m at the Chicagoland Championships with a time of 34:33.70... lowered his career-best time in the 5,000m to 15:41.00 at the Chicago Penultimate... finished the 5,000m at the EMU Twilight in a time of 15:41.40.

High School: Central Lakeshore Conference, Sheboygan County, and Sectional cross country champion his senior year... three-time Wisconsin Division III Cross Country Team State Champion... placed 15th in the 1,600m during the state meet with a time of 4:35.00 in 2008... captain of the cross country, track and field, and golf teams his senior year... received varsity letters in cross country (4), track and field (2), basketball (2), and golf (4)... personal-best time of 10:08.00 in the 3,200m run.

Personal: Son of David and Joan Begalke... youngest of four siblings, Dan, Katie, and Marybeth... enrolled in the College of Commerce.
