Rea, Deck Lead Blue Demons at NCAA Midwest Regional

AMES, IOWA - Friday afternoon brought many career and personal bests for the DePaul men's and women's cross country teams. The ISU Cross Country Course hosted over 65 teams at the 2017 NCAA Midwest Regional. The Blue Demons placed 24th on the men's side and had two individual places for the women's squad. 

The top finisher for the women's team was Miranda Rea, clocking in a season and personal best at (22:26.68) for a 165th place finish. This makes Rea the top Blue Demon at every cross country race DePaul competed at this season. 

Senior Jessica Sanborn finished with a (22:51.10) time for 187th place.

For the men's squad, Noah Deck led the Blue Demons at (31:09.38) for 120th place. Deck surpassed his time from last seasons meet by nearly three seconds (34:13.4) and jumped up 58 spots. Seniors Chris Korabik and Jake Pecorin rounded out the DePaul top three at (31:10.45) for 122nd place and (31:31.69) for 141st place, respectively.
