Moffett, Key Pace Women's Cross Country
LAWRENCE, KS - Sophomore Erin Moffett and freshman Marlene Key each posted top 10 finishes and led the Blue Demons to a fourth place finish at the Bob Timmons Invitational at the Rim Rock Farm course on Saturday. The Blue Demons ran as a team for the first mile of the race, which was held at one of the nation's toughest courses, before Moffett broke away to finish fifth overall in 20:02.24. Key took 10th overall in 20:21.99. DePaul's Leah Rygh placed 23rd in 21:19.47 while Jessica Karlin was 29th in 21:30.53. Head coach Gordon Thomson's squad will be in action again on September 21 when it runs at the National Catholic Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
