Brichall Soars At C-USA Meet

Blue Demons finish fifth at league championship.

LAKE KRISTIL, NC – Chris Birchall became the highest DePaul finisher in Conference USA history and the Blue Demons as a team tied for the highest finish ever at the C-USA Championships on Saturday.

Birchall finished third overall in a time of 23:22.4 and is the highest DePaul finisher in the history of the league race. The Blue Demons’ fifth-place finish was tied for the highest C-USA championship finish with last seasons’ squad.

Luis Samayoa was DePaul’s second finisher, placing 24^th overall in 25:03.9 while Larry Vonck was 26^th in 25:05.1.
