Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth

TAMPA, Fla.– The DePaul men’s cross country team placed fourth at the Conference USA Championships on Saturday morning at the USF Golf Course in Tampa, Fla.  The finish was the highest by the team matching their fourth place from a year ago in Hattiesburg, Miss.  Donnie Warner led the team with a sixth-place individual finish and in the process earned second team All-Conference honors.

Warner finished in 25:19.00 and was followed by Dave Webb and Anthony Becknek.  Webb took 18th place at 25:49.50 while Becknek finished right behind him in 19th with a time of 25:53.80.  Gavin Kennedy was the fourth DePaul runner to finish in the top 25 as he placed 21st in 26:00.60.


Marquette captured their first men's championship with 43 points ahead of second-place Cincinnati (88 points) and third-place finisher Louisville (102).  DePaul compiled 105 points to take fourth place.  Junior Kyle MacKenzie of East Carolina was the top individual finisher with a time of 25:07.20.
