The Blue Demons are set to compete against 35 teams on the women's side and 30 teams on the men's side. Chicago neighbors Northwestern, Illinois-Chicago, Northern Illinois, and Loyola (Ill.) will also be competing in the race. BIG EAST rival, Creighton, will also join the competition.

At last season's NCAA Midwest Regional, the women took 29th overall with 767 points and the men placed 23rd with 662 points. Jake Pecorin, James Ryan, and Noah Deck represented the Blue Demons, clocking in at 32:57.8, 33:44.5, and 34:13.4, respectivley.

Looking ahead to Friday's meet, DePaul will bring several new faces to the NCAA Midwest Regional meet. On the women's side, Miranda Rea and Jessica Sanborn are set for the 6k. Rea has finished first for the Blue Demons in every meet this season, with her best 6k time at the Bradley Pink Classic (22:27.1). Sanborn will continue her senior season, after clocking in her best season time (23:35.6) at the BIG EAST Championships.

The men's squad brings Henry Harper, Chris Korabik, John Korte, Charlie McIntyre, and returns Deck, Pecorin, and Ryan to the NCAA Midwest Regional. Seniors Korabik, Pecorin, and Ryan will continue to lead the Blue Demons. "That group of seniors has been pretty steady over the course of the season, comments Coach Derrick Peterson. "Chris helps lead our men's team and Jake stepping up and being a major contributor on the men's side has been tremendous throughout the season. James has made major improvements and has been major for our men's team."
