CHICAGO – The DePaul Coaches’ Caravan heads to the Southside on Monday night for a stop at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park. All of the festivities begin at 7 p.m. and fans are encouraged to join Coach Purnell and the Blue Demons to watch the Monday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
A great food and drink special is available at 115 Bourbon Street with $10 getting fans food and drinks for two hours. Men’s basketball head coach Oliver Purnell will be in attendance after greeting capacity crowds at Coaches’ Caravan stops in Lombard, Chicago’s River North neighborhood and Arlington Heights. The five-stop preseason tour around Chicagoland concludes on Friday, Oct. 1 at the Cubby Bear in Lincolnshire, Ill.
Women’s basketball head coach Doug Bruno is unable to attend Monday’s event while serving as an assistant coach with the U.S. Women’s National Team at the FIBA World Championships currently going on in the Czech Republic. Associate head coach Nicci Hays-Fort and the women's basketball staff will be on hand to discuss the women's basketball program as the Blue Demons look forward to another successful season.
