Soccer Alumnae Return for Alumnae Day
Oct. 10, 2010
CHICAGO--The Women's soccer team set the tone for a celebratory day as they defeated Seton Hall 1-0 in a double overtime victory at Wish Field on October 10. Senior, Lauren Pagone, had all alumnae in awe as she scored the game-winning goal. "I just wanted a goal so bad," Pagone said about the final regular season game at Wish Field. In addition to the spectacular finish, women's soccer alumnae were recognized during a special halftime presentation. Jean Lenti Ponsetto, Director of Athletics greeted each alum with a rose and a hug as their names echoed across the loud speaker. After the presentation, alumnae, current players, coaches, and parents gathered in the Hall of Fame Foyer to honor current seniors, Jenna Fagerman, Tessa Fegen, Callie Hemming, Kelsey Hoinkes, Janina Locascio, Lauren Pagone, and Tara Strickland. Alumnae had the opportunity to interact with the current players and staff; and to share stories about their playing days with Jean Lenti Ponsetto and head coach Erin Chastain. NOTES: Special thanks to all alumnae in attendance. Your continued support of the women's soccer program and DePaul athletics is greatly appreciated. Please continue to help us in our efforts to build the women's soccer alumnae email database. If you know of a former player who does not receive email or mail correspondence in regards to DePaul Women's Soccer, please have them contact Jennifer Thomas at jthoma67@depaul.edu.
