Today In Blue Demon History:

On January 30 2004,  Second-place finishes in four events led the DePaul women’s indoor track and field team at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend.  The Blue Demons joined host Notre Dame, Butler, Marquette and Michigan State at the Loftus Sports Center for the non-scoring meet. Erika Lockhart led the field events with a second-place finish in the long jump.  Her distance of 5.20 meters (17’0.75”) put her behind Michigan State’s Taren James at 5.72 meters (18’9.25”). Click Here for the full story.

BLUE DEMON DAY THIS SATURDAY To get ready for Blue Demon Day on Feb. 2, DePaul’s alumni relations department is hosting a t-shirt swap this week on the University’s Lincoln Park and Loop campuses. The inaugural Blue Demon Day is Saturday, Feb. 2 when the men’s basketball team faces Notre Dame. Click Here for more information.

Women's Basketball: 

All it took was eight seconds for Brittany Hrynko to turn her basketball world around.

Right after her turnover led to the tying basket, Hrynko drove the length of the court and hit the winning shot with four seconds to go in Tuesday night’s dramatic 57-55 BIG EAST Conference victory over Pittsburgh. Click Here for the full story. 

Men's Basketball:

After playing just three games since Jan. 15, DePaul opens a stretch of three games in seven days on Wednesday night at St. John's. DePaul enters the game looking to snap a season-high four-game losing streak while evening the season series with the Red Storm.
