Today In Blue Demon History:
On January 4 2002, The DePaul men’s tennis team posted a pair of dual match victories on Friday, beating Drake 5-2 in Milwaukee and then disposing of Butler 4-1 later in the day. Against Drake, the Blue Demons opened the match by winning two of the three doubles matches, with Jebenij Cariov and Dan Bennett winning at No. 2 and David Pitsch and Sam Davidson winning at No. 3.Click Here for the full story.

They played with an abundance of heart and competed fiercely, but in the end, the DePaul Blue Demons couldn't quite pull off a BIG EAST Conference upset on Saturday. In their second consecutive overtime game, the Blue Demons were topped by Notre Dame 79-71 at Allstate Arena in front of a boisterous crowd of 11,354. Track and Field:
Chris Miedema’s school record in the 800-meter run lasted all of seven days. But the junior from Ontario, Canada was happy to see a new indoor track standard set on Saturday. That’s because it was Miedema himself who broke his own record at the final day of the Meyo Invitational. Miedema’s time of 1:51.59 topped the mark of 1:52.28 he recorded last week at the Spire Institute Midwest Open in Geneva, Ohio.Click Here for the full story.

The No. 71 DePaul women's tennis team capped an undefeated weekend, winning its third straight match, 6-1, over visiting Eastern Michigan on Sunday at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness. The Blue Demons move to 3-2 with the win, while EMU dropped to 3-5 overall in dual match play.
