The Blue Demons posted BIG EAST Championship qualifying performances in five events during the final rounds at the Gladstein Fieldhouse.Junior Claire Duck notched a time of 4:56.74 to grab first place in the mile run and surpass the BIG EAST standard of 5:08.44. For the fourth time that season, sophomore Gabe Harris posted a BIG EAST qualifying performance in the men’s 400m run finals. He finished fourth in the race with a time of 48.76, breaking through the standard of 49.84. After posting a season-best weight throw of 17.60m in Friday’s preliminary round, freshman Brad Millar notched a throw of 17.08m to place sixth in the finals. He has exceeded the BIG EAST standard of 14.97m in every competition of that season..Click Here for the full story.

Sports Reports: Men's Basketball: DePaul hosts Villanova in a BIG EAST contest Tuesday evening at Allstate Arena. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start in the 24th all-time meeting between the two programs. The Blue Demons are playing the third game of a seven-day, three-game stretch that has seen a pair of overtime losses. DePaul opened the week last Wednesday with a 79-74 overtime loss at St. John's before falling, 79-71, in overtime on Saturday against Notre Dame. Click Here for the full story. Women's Basketball: DePaul sophomore Brittany Hrynko was named to the BIG EAST Conference Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll it was announced on Monday by the league office. Hrynko averaged 27.0 points in DePaul's two games last week. Click Here for the full story. Track and Field: DePaul's track and field team will be heading down to Nashville, Tenn. to open up the outdoor portion of its 2012-13 season. The Blue Demons will compete on March 22-23 at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold event.
