The team continued its strong play on Saturday, defeating sixth-seeded Villanova, 4-1, to advance to the fifth-place match on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. In the end, the team got another win from freshman Sten Leusink and finished in sixth-place at the BIG EAST Men's Tennis Championship on Sunday, falling 4-1 to St. John's in the tournament's fifth-place match. Click here for the full update.

Track & Field: DePaul's throwers led the way Saturday in the Huskie Open at Northern Illinois. Blake Thompson won the discus with a BIG EAST Championships qualifying mark of 51.18 meters, easily surpassing his previous career best of 47.91m. Adam Kovacs claimed the hammer throw title with a BIG EAST qualifying and personal-record toss of 52.21 meters---more than two meters beyond his career best. Click here for the full update.

Softball: Round one of DePaul's critical three-game BIG EAST Conference series against No. 24/24 USF resulted in a 3-0 Blue Demons loss Saturday at Cacciatore Stadium. However, the second game of the double-header Samantha Dodd delivered with a ringing single to left field that brought Bree Brown home with the winning run in a 2-1 victory over USF. Unfortunately, on Sunday, a promising rally turned into a disappointing 4-3 conference loss to USF at Cacciatore Stadium. Click here for the full update.
