Peter Sterbenz scored his first goal of the season in the 61st minute as the Blue Demons improved to 4-0-0. In the 2007 campaign, the men's soccer team earned a bid to the NCAA tournament. Sports Report: Women's Volleyball: The DePaul volleyball team will look to snap a three-match losing streak this weekend as it makes a short trip north to the Loyola Rambler Challenge at Gentile Arena on Friday and Saturday, September 14-15. Women's Soccer: With a road match at Cincinnati in store tonight before a home match against Louisville on Sunday, the DePaul women's soccer team (4-3-1) looks to start off BIG EAST Conference action on a strong note this weekend. Men's Tennis: The DePaul men's tennis team begins its first action of the fall this weekend at the 37th annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic sponsored by Marquette University and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Cross Country: Reigning BIG EAST Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week Eddie McDaniel leads DePaul into the 33rd Annual National Catholic Championships today at the Notre Dame Cross Country Course. The women’s 5K race will start at 4:15 p.m. followed by the men’s 8K race at 5 p.m. Click Here for the full story. Upcoming Events: Today: The women's soccer team heads to Cincinnati for a 4 p.m. matchup, the women's volleyball team will play at the Loyola Challenge at 11 am and 2 pm and cross country will race at the National Catholic Championship in South Bend, Ind. Saturday September 15th: The women's volleyball team continues playing in the Loyola Challenge at 7p.m. Sunday September 16th: Women's plays at 1 p.m. against Louisville on Wish Field-ALUMNAE DAY, competition at 9:30 am, followed by a reception in the Hall of Fame foyer. Don't miss DePaul's Annual Softball Fall Alumnae Game TOMORROW at Cacciatore Stadium. First Pitch is at noon. DePaul men's soccer alumni day is September 29th, 9:30 am alumni game, followed by post game reception in the Hall of Fame Foyer then 1pm kickoff against St. Johns.
