Today In Blue Demon History:
On October 3rd 2009, The DePaul men’s tennis team had an outstanding showing in day one of the Wildcat Invitational at Northwestern's Combe Indoor Tennis Center.The morning saw the Blue Demons win seven of their eight singles matches while the afternoon saw DePaul win three of its four doubles matches for a double-digit win total. The DePaul University athletics department has deployed a new mobile experience for Blue Demon fans with iOS and Android devices. The official mobile application of DePaul athletics offers iOS and Android users easy and instant access to up-to-the-minute news and info for the 2012-13 school year. The mobile application is free to download from the App Store and Google Play Market. Users can also enhance their experience by purchasing access to live video (and audio) broadcasts from within the app.
Women's Basketball: Standing straight in his USA Basketball attire, DePaul women's basketball coach Doug Bruno was honored on Tuesday by the Cook County Board of Commissioners for helping the United States Women's National Team win its fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal. Women's Tennis: The DePaul Blue Demons had a pair of players in action at the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships on Tuesday, October 2, as Jasmin Kling dropped her first round singles match but teamed up with Patricia Fargas to snag a doubles win.Click Here for the full story.
Men's Tennis: Filip Dzanko dropped his first round match in qualifying, 6-4, 6-1, at the 2012 ITA Men's All-American Championships on Monday, October 1 at Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa. Click Here for the full story.
Men's Soccer: Up against its fourth nationally-ranked opponent in as many matches, the DePaul men’s soccer team hopes to get back on track on Wednesday evening against Louisville at Cardinal Park.
