Men's Basketball: The 2012 Cancun Challenge moves to the Galactic Ballroom at the Moon Palace Resort with the Blue Demons facing Wichita State on Tuesday evening. DePaul split a pair of games at Allstate Arena to open the event with a 71-59 loss to Gardner-Webb followed by a 98-67 win over Austin Peay. DePaul and Wichita State are scheduled for a 6 p.m. start in Cancun.The Blue Demons played with passion and fire in a 98-67 victory over Austin Peay at Allstate Arena in the second round of the Cancun Challenge.Click Here for the full story.
Women's Basketball:For anyone who enjoys an old-fashioned shootout, McGrath-Phillips Arena was the place to be on Monday night. That's where five Blue Demons scored in double figures as DePaul outgunned Yale 95-80 in a game of pure entertainment. Anna Martin and Jasmine Penny topped the scoring avalanche with 22 points apiece while Martin also had five assists. Katherine Harry had 18 points and a season-high 16 rebounds. Brittany Hrynko finished with 12 points and five assists while Chanise Jenkins racked up season highs in points with 11 and assists with nine while adding six rebounds. Click Here for the full story.
Men's Soccer: The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has announced its men's soccer Team Academic Award recipients for the 2012 year with DePaul earning the 11th-best grade-point average among Division I programs. Click Here for the full story.
