Facility Improvements

Cacciatore Stadium - Phase II
Known as a national-caliber program, DePaul softball has been rewarded with a stadium that matches its achievement and tradition. Phase I is complete and DePaul Softball has played on the new surface for two years and has helped enhance DePaul's national reputation over the past two seasons.

Phase II calls for a stadium with a press box and permanent seating for nearly 1,000 in a stadium atmosphere. These plans will elevate DePaul's softball facilities to the needed level to host NCAA regional competition as well as host televised games.

Outdoor Track Project

Outdoor Track

Outdoor Track Project
This summer, DePaul Athletics joined Lane Tech in a cooperative effort to provide a home for Blue Demon Track & Field. DePaul will provide the resources through a long-term lease that will allow Lane Tech to build a six-lane track in Lane Tech Stadium.

The goal for the outdoor track project will be to raise $400,000, a modest price to have a track that  DePaul can calls its own. The goal also includes the costs for purchasing the needed equipment for the various field events and a contingency fund for a future resurfacing of the track.

DePaul Track & Field will have a convenient facility for outdoor practice and competition for the first time in five decades. Just a short jog from the Lincoln Park campus, It will be a place for our student-athletes to call home. The facility will be a dramatic improvement for our current student-athletes. The stadium will feature dedicated spaces for cages, pits and other amenities needed to compete in all the NCAA sponsored events including javelin, steeplechase and pole vault.

The new track will enhance recruiting and will allow DePaul and new head coach Pat Savage to host outdoor meets in the upcoming years.
