Blue Demons Face USF at Allstate Arena
CHICAGO - DePaul returns to the Allstate Arena for the first time since Dec. 31 with a Saturday matinee against the USF Bulls. The Blue Demons enter the game at 8-8 overall and 0-3 in BIG EAST play while USF is 5-9 and 0-2 in league action. DePaul opened conference play with losses to Notre Dame, Providence and Syracuse while the Bulls have fallen in BIG EAST games against Syracuse and Louisville. Saturday is the 20th meeting with DePaul holding a 15-4 advantage in the series. Since joining the BIG EAST, the Blue Demons are 4-0 against the Bulls and have six straight wins over USF.

Following the USF game, DePaul doesn’t play again until Saturday, Jan. 17 against the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Blue Demons and Bearcats square off at Allstate Arena at 1 p.m. before DePaul faces USF in Tampa on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Noting the Blue Demons: DePaul has attempted more free throws then their opponent in 13 of 15 games this season... the Blue Demons’ 217 free throws made this season are just six less than the 223 combined attempts for their opponents... only Notre Dame on Dec. 31 has attempted more free shots than DePaul while Syracuse shot the same amount on Jan. 7... when knocking down at least seven three’s this season, DePaul is 5-1... in each of Jerry Wainwright’s three full seasons at DePaul, the Blue Demons have defeated at least one top 25 opponent... Get It Out of Here: Devin Hill has been on a blocked shot binge as of late. In his last 11 games, the 6-9 freshman has recorded 27 blocks. Hill already has 31 rejections on the season topping Mac Koshwal’s team-leading 24 blocked shots last season.
Allstate Arena: DePaul is playing its 29th season at the Allstate Arena (formerly Rosemont Horizon) in 2008-09. The Blue Demons are 281-102 (.734) all-time in Rosemont. DePaul has won 26 of its last 38 Allstate Arena games.
On The Air: For the 11th consecutive season, DePaul games are broadcast on WSCR (670 AM). Zach Zaidman and Laurence Holmes will call the action this season.
Wainwright Show: The Jerry Wainwright Show on WSCR will air on Mondays at 8 p.m. starting Jan. 5. Blue Demon play-by-play announcer Zach Zaidman handles the hosting duties. The Jan. 12 show has been moved up an hour to 7 p.m. Wainwright also checks in Thursday mornings with Laurence Holmes from 10:35-50 a.m.
